Werum IT Solutions GmbH (Werum) takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the provisions of data protection law. The purpose of this Data Protection Declaration is to inform you how, to what extent and for what purposes we process personal data during use of the website of Werum.

1. Collection, processing and use of personal data on request
Our website can normally be used without providing personal data. You are not obliged to access this website or provide personal data. If you do not provide us with any personal data, you may not be able to use individual functions of this website. There will no other consequences for you. If personal data (e.g. your name, address or e-mail addresses) are collected on our website, this takes place voluntarily except in the cases described below in more detail. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. We wish to point out that data transmission in the Internet (e.g. during communication by e-mail) may be subject to security breaches. It is not possible to protect data completely against access by third parties.

If processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time with the result that processing of your personal data will not be permitted in future. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of processing which is performed on the basis of consent up to the time of revocation.

 

2. Contact form; Request for information material
When you contact us using the contact form, we will store your data (especially your name and salutation, your contact details, the name of your company, the country and your message) and process them in order to answer your inquiry. This also applies when you ask us for information material. If you optionally choose to give us your telephone number, we may contact you by phone to discuss your project and put you in touch with suitable contact partners.

If this is necessary to answer your inquiry or your inquiry is so intended, we may transmit your data to another company in the Körber Group (e.g. if your inquiry relates to a contract or a customer relationship with another company in the Körber Group or to its products).

Depending on the purpose of your inquiry, this data processing is lawful if it is necessary during the initiation or performance of a contract, or is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interest in providing a contact form for general inquiries and/or providing information material (Article 6 (1) (b) or (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).

If you agree to receive information by e-mail about the latest products and services of Körber Medipak Systems Group in the areas of pharmaceutical packaging, inspection, track&trace and MES solutions, the companies in the Körber Medipak Systems Group will send you this information by e-mail. Your details will be stored in a common distribution list for this purpose. You may revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. For this purpose, you can use the Unsubscribe link in every newsletter or send a letter to Körber Medipak Systems AG, Neuwiesenstrasse 20, CH-8400 Winterthur or an e-mail to unsubscribe@medipak-systems.com.

 

3. Data processing enabling website use
When you visit our website, we will collect the necessary data to facilitate your use each time. These data include your IP address and information about the start, end and purpose of your use of the website, as well as any identification data (e.g. your login data if you log into a secure area). These data will be used to provide and organize the service in accordance with users' needs. The data will normally be deleted as soon as they are no longer required and there are no retention obligations. Please refer to Section 6 regarding processing of pseudonymous usage profiles.

4. Cookies
When you visit our website and give us your consent (see Section 5), information may be stored on your computer in the form of a cookie. Cookies are small text files which are transmitted by a web server to your browser and are stored on your computer's hard drive. This enables us to recognize you when you visit the website again. We can therefore ensure better functionality of the website and perform, for example, web analyses (see Section 6). Most browsers are configured in such a way that they accept cookies automatically. You can prevent cookies from being stored in your browser and always have the opportunity to erase them from your hard drive. We would like to inform you that use of our offers on the website may be restricted without cookies. 5. Consent for cookies and web analysis
When you call up our website, a Cookiebot button appears, which the companies in the Körber Medipak Systems Group ("Medipak Systems Group") use to ask you for your consent to place cookies for the purpose of optimizing their websites (see Section 4) and for web analysis (see Section 6). If you give your consent, the Medipak Systems Group shall proceed as described in more detail in the sections below (Sections 6 to 11). These Sections also contain information on how you can revoke your consent at any time and prevent cookies from being set or web analysis from being performed using technology from individual providers.

Data that relates to your use of the following websites operated by the companies in the Medipak Systems Group is collected via cookies on said websites and processed by the companies in the Medipak Systems Group according to the settings you configured using the Cookiebot button. The consent you gave via the cookie banner therefore extends to data processing by all companies in the Medipak Systems Group and, accordingly, to the publication of the data collected on a single website within all companies in the Medipak Systems Group.

6. Web analysis (Google Analytics)
When you visit our website and give us your consent (see Section 5), we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (Google). Google Analytics uses cookies (see Section 5) in order to analyze your use of the website. The information about your use of this website is normally sent to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. However, your IP address is first truncated by Google in member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement of the European Economic Area) and is therefore anonymized. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website Google will utilize this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on the website activities and provide other services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data.

7. Google Ads, Google DoubleClick, Google Dynamic Remarketing and Google Conversion Tracking
We use other Google services: Google Ads, Google DoubleClick, Google Dynamic Remarketing and Google Conversion Tracking Cookies are also used for this purpose (see Section 4). Data from Google Analytics and other pseudonymous usage data are evaluated here for statistical purposes. In order to improve our services, we can therefore analyze, for example, how successful campaigns are and whether users visit our website after an advertisement is displayed. You also receive interest-related advertising through these services. 8. LinkedIn Ads, LinkedIn Analytics and LinkedIn Marketing Solutions
We use the services of Linked Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland ("LinkedIn“). Within the scope of these services LinkedIn collects and stores usage data in pseudonymous profiles in order to permit statistical analyses of website use, evaluate the success of advertisements and provide interest-related advertising on our website, on LinkedIn and on websites of Linked partners. If you are a LinkedIn user, LinkedIn may also combine the data with your user account. LinkedIn also sets cookies to collect data (see Section 6). 9. Facebook Pixel and Facebook Custom Audiences
Our website contains tracking technology of Facebook, 1601 S. California Avenue, Palo Alto, 94304 CA, United States ("Facebook“). This technology may include cookies (see Section 4). Facebook collects and stores usage data (e.g. the information on what parts of the website you have visited) in pseudonymous profiles in order to facilitate interest-related advertising. In the case of registered Facebook users, Facebook may combine this information with your Facebook account. Based on the usage profiles, Facebook may place on our behalf interest-oriented advertising in the Facebook network (including so-called "Facebook Ads“) and on other websites. We use Facebook Pixel and Facebook Custom Audiences for marketing purposes in our justified interest (Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)). Only if you have given us your consent in this respect will we transmit a so-called hash value of your e-mail address (i.e. an unidentifiable string) to Facebook in order to allow target-group-oriented advertising via Facebook based on a comparison with Facebook users within the scope of Custom Audiences.

10. HubSpot
Our website contains tracking technology of HubSpot Inc., 24 First St, 2nd Floor, Cambridge/MA 02141, United States (“HubSpot”). This technology may include cookies (see Section 4). HubSpot collects and stores usage data in pseudonymous profiles in order to provide interest-related advertising. You can disable storage of data by HubSpot in cookies and the associated recording of your user behavior by disabling cookies (see Section 5).

We use HubSpot to optimize advertising and address customers as this is in our justified interest (Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)). Only if you have given us your consent in this respect can we also combine pseudonymous data with personal data from your CRM profile in order to address your needs and serve your interests as best as possible.

11. Outbrain, Outbrain Amplify and Outbrain Pixel
Our website contains tracking technology of Outbrain UK Ltd., 5 New Bridge Street, London, EC4V 6JA, United Kingdom ("Outbrain“). This technology may include cookies (see Section 4). Outbrain collects and stores usage data in pseudonymous profiles in order to enable interest-oriented design of content and advertising. 12. GAconnector
We use the "GAconnector“ technology to store and evaluate information about user behavior by means of cookies and combine this information with data from our CRM system. Cookies are used for this purpose (see Section 4). You can disable this by disabling cookies.

The legal basis is our justified interest in interest-oriented advertising (Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)). In this case usage profiles are only combined with personal data if the data subject has given his/her consent.

 

13. Zapier
In order to integrate different databases and tools, we use Zapier, a service of Zapier Inc., 548 Market St #62411, San Francisco, California 94104, United States. Customer data may be transmitted in this case. Zapier is certified according to the EU-US Privacy Shield and is therefore obliged to ensure an adequate level of data protection. We have also jointly concluded with Zapier a contract data processing agreement which includes standard EU contractual clauses. 14. YouTube videos
Our website contains videos which are made available by the provider YouTube LLC , 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. We have integrated the YouTube videos using the "extended data protection mode" of YouTube. This ensures that when you merely call up a page containing an embedded video YouTube cannot process data about your visit or YouTube cannot set cookies on your computer. When you click on a video, your IP address will be transmitted to YouTube which is informed that you watched the video. If you are logged into YouTube, this information is also assigned to your user account (you can prevent this by logging out of YouTube before you call up the video). We have no knowledge of and also no influence over any possible collection and use of your data by YouTube. 15. Legal basis for data processing
The legal basis for data processing depends each time on the purpose for which the data are processed. As described in Section 6, we collect data for pseudonymized usage profiles to improve the website based on justified interests (Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)) and valid data protection law for telemedia.

 

16. Transmission to third parties or to states outside the EU
Your personal data will only be transmitted if this is permitted by law or you gave your consent beforehand. For example, we may transmit data to other companies in the Körber Group if this is necessary to answer a question which you raised. We will only pass on your data in accordance with legal obligations or on the basis of an official decree or a court decision. Data will only be transmitted to recipients outside the EU if it is ensured that the recipients of the data guarantee an adequate level of data protection and there are no other legitimate interests preventing transmission of the data. Please contact our Data Protection Officer (see Section 14) if you have any questions in this respect.

 

17. Erasure
The data collected by means of Google Analytics in the form of pseudonymous usage profiles (Section 6) will be erased at the latest 38 months after the last new entry in the particular usage profile. We will also erase your personal data when they are no longer required for collection and processing purposes, and provided there are no statutory retention obligations preventing erasure of your personal data.

 

18. Data security
Werum has implemented the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data supplied by you against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. Our employees and everyone involved in data processing are obliged to comply with data protection laws and handle personal data confidentially. Our employees are trained accordingly. Both internal and external checks ensure that all data protection processes are observed at Werum.

In order to protect the personal data of our users, we utilize a secure online transmission method, i.e. so-called "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) transmission. You can recognize this by the addition of an "s" to the address component http:// ("https://") or when you see a green locked lock symbol. By clicking on the symbol, you obtain information about the utilized SSL certificate. Display of the symbol depends on the browser version which you are using. SSL encryption ensures encrypted and complete transmission of your data.

 

19. Your rights with regard to personal data
Data protection law grants you a number of rights in relation to your personal data (so-called rights of data subjects). In general, this includes the right to request information about your stored personal data, the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of these data and the right to object to processing. Whether and to what extent these rights exist in an individual case and what conditions apply depends on the Federal Data Protection Act (up to May 25, 2018) and also the EU General Data Protection Regulation with effect from May 25, 2018. The EU General Data Protection Regulation also grants you, in principle, the right to data portability. If you have agreed to processing of your personal data, you can revoke this at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to submit a complaint to the responsible data protection supervisory authority. However, if you have any questions or complaints relating to data protection at Werum, we recommend that you first contact our Data Protection Officer (see Section 21).

 

20. No automated individual decisions
If this is not exceptionally required to conclude a contract or on account of legal regulations (like in the case of age verification), we will not use your personal data for automated individual decisions.
